Ski season is finally, and officially, over in our neck of the woods. April 12 was the last day at the local "bowl."
Here is a photo of the "elk weathervane" that has been a part of our roof line for 19 years. Believe it or not, a neighbor asked me about five years ago if he could have it when, and if, we ever decided to take it down.
As for Mr. Elk here, I think we might just decide to put him on top of the tool shed.
Or maybe not. Maybe we will think about that for a while yet.
Although I state that this is a "replica," all the parts and pieces are authentic. They've been brought together in the exhibit at the Miracle of America Museum in Polson, Montana. What a Terrific place to visit! I spent an entire DAY there and didn't see all FIVE ACRES of displays.
