Daffodils Sitting

A couple shots of two separate vases of daffodils sitting here in the house. Have to catch the picture while the flowers are fresh.

Should be the FINAL Winter Photo

I certainly do hope this is the final "winter" picture for this spring. (However, we do have snow in the forecast for tonight--again.) At least the white stuff is melting off during the daytime hours.

Ski season is finally, and officially, over in our neck of the woods. April 12 was the last day at the local "bowl."

Here is a photo of the "elk weathervane" that has been a part of our roof line for 19 years. Believe it or not, a neighbor asked me about five years ago if he could have it when, and if, we ever decided to take it down.

In fact, we have a new weathervane out in the garage; it is a big ROOSTER! I am waiting for hot weather so we will be able to put a little "tar" under the bracket when we attach it to the shingles.

As for Mr. Elk here, I think we might just decide to put him on top of the tool shed.

Or maybe not. Maybe we will think about that for a while yet.

1950's Soda Fountain Diner (Replica)

Although I state that this is a "replica," all the parts and pieces are authentic. They've been brought together in the exhibit at the Miracle of America Museum in Polson, Montana. What a Terrific place to visit! I spent an entire DAY there and didn't see all FIVE ACRES of displays.

Antique Typewriters In Montana Museum

This is an L.C. Smith & Brothers manual typewriter. It is on display in the Museum of America in Polson, Montana.

Another old typewriter on display at the Museum of America, a Remington that looks very familiar. Yes, I remember "pounding" away on one of these!
