Missoula is one of the fastest growing cities in Montana, as well as one of the largest. Still, it is only about 80,000 people, just a "small town" in the view of New Yorkers and Californians who come to play and buy vacation homes. Missoula's nickname is "the Garden City" due to the large urban forest.
